Los ‘People’s Choice Awards’, o los ‘Premios Elección del Público’, son un evento de Estados Unidos en la que se reconoce a lo mejor de la industria del entretenimiento en el cine, la música y la televisión. Los ganadores son seleccionados a través de una votación en la que participa la audiencia en general.
La edición de este año se realizó el pasado fin de semana y varias celebridades se llevaron un galardón a casa, tal es el caso de Taylor Swift, Pedro Pascal o Shakira. Las series que tuvieron una gran audiencia el año pasado también fueron premiadas, al igual que las cintas que fueron un éxito en taquilla.
A la ceremonia igual acudieron varios famosos, algunos de los estuvieron presentes fueron Tom Hiddleston, conocido por interpretar a ‘Loki’ en el Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel (UCM), así como la actriz Halle Bailey, quien es popular por ser ‘Ariel’ en la nueva versión de ‘La Sirenita’ de Disney.
Ganadores People´s Choice Awards 2024
El evento de premiación se llevó a cabo en el Barker Hangar, un recinto de gran capacidad ubicado dentro de la ciudad de Santa Mónica, al sur de California, en Estados Unidos.
El presentador fue el actor Simu Lu, quien saltó a la fama por protagonizar la película de ‘Shang-Chi y la leyenda de los 10 anillos’ del UCM, al igual que por ser unos de los ‘Ken’ principales en ‘Barbie’.
Además de las categorías generales, entregaron galardones especiales para reconocer la trayectoria de ciertas celebridades en distintas áreas; pues le entregaron el ‘Music Icon’ a Leny Kravitz.
Asimismo, Adam Sandler fue reconocido con el People´s Icon. De este modo, la artista que más premios obtuvo fue Taylor Swift. También reconocieron a estrellas latinas, como a Shakira y Bad Bunny, esta es la lista completa:
